The Tradition Continues...

I opened Treat From Scratch off of ONE important experience, connected to ONE special person for ONE main reason.

I've always loved baking and had a great eye and hand for creating yummy desserts. It was just something I would do for my family. My Daddy was my best tester... Taster lol! He had a sweet tooth out of this world, but was picky about what he wanted to eat. I loved baking just to see his smile to confirm the status of "Yep this is IT!"

German Chocolate cake came from some family tradition... still have to find out the details. As you can see from the pic, before I could walk it has been at every celebration, from Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthdays and Anniversaries. It wasn't even a second thought.

This year was a heavy blow as my Daddy transitioned just before his 72nd birthday, I knew this year would be different... baking the traditional family celebratory cake without his taste-approval was tough yet because a spark to finally share my gift with others. What I wouldn't give to have him take one more bite, but now it's TIME to share a little sweetness beyond my family with the world.

The birth of Treats From Scratch is a made-to-order specialty dessert shop. I ONLY focus on desserts that connect with my own experiences, my family and focus on those selections. Some of our selections will only be available on a seasonal basis and others are rotated throughout the year. ALL of our Treats-From Scratch are created with high-quality ingredients, family original recipes and always with love.

This is about a baker sharing something wholesome, made with love, of the very best of the best desserts that are near and dear in honor of my father's sweet tooth and his entrepreneurial spirit. It would be my pleasure to serve you a sweet, from the Treats From Scratch Kitchen.
